  2. 6) After 10 days with no attack by the rebels, Mattru Jong came back to life. People came out of hiding, schools reopened, and people returned to their normal routines.

  3. 7) The only escape route from Mattru Jong was a path in the forest across a clearing, after a wet and muddy swamp near a tiny hill. Crossing the clearing was risky because the rebels, realizing that civilians were trying to escape, had started shooting at people using all the weapons they had.
